'Just a little something to break the monotony...'
Consider yourself to be alternative? How about selling all you have and sharing your income with a group of disciples, and all to follow a God the world screams doesn't exist? I've decided to make it personal, all my life is to live giving to others. It's because of Jesus. What you read here is just a taster...
Technically, Marta Odum is right. All Christians are saints. That's why Paul writes to 'the saints at Ephesus', even though some of them were a bit worldly!
However, we do need to make sure that our sainthood is being worked out. Check out Philippians 3:16 - one of the greatest 3:16's in the Bible - and there's a lot of them!
I guess the Christian life consists of becoming what God says we already are.
"...Bernard argues, this happens best within a community of believers rather than as an individualistic pursuit."
ReplyDeleteOouw... interesting. How about 'The Idiots guide to sainthood'? I'd give that a read
I consider this book unnecessary. How to become a saint? Get saved! Period.
ReplyDeleteWhile that book isn't necessarily necessary I'm sure it'd be a very good read!

I wouldn't mind reading the book some time . . .
