Who's the loser? - Jesus Army Life, Day 240

I just lost my post. It was about Christians struggling with weed and the Afghan Christian possibly about to be sentenced to death for his faith. Not much comparison you might think but my conclusion was that Jesus must be close to them both.

  1. I read the report earlier in the week about that young man thats in danger of getting the death sentence for his own personal belief because of the 'rule of the land' there. He prepared to die for his belief...would we all be?(general comment not a dig at anyone)

very ture! if we are affrid of dieing for a faith and would not die for it then what is the point in having it. faith is someting that you are compleatly sure of and that cnat be wrong in your head so if its not wrong and we get killed we all going to heaven!

I think it's one of those situations where unless we are faced with it ourselves we don't truly know how we will react. Most Christians would like to think they would fight for their faith. I know I do.

i find it really annoying that the media pick one random case to highlight when stuff like that happens all the time. I think i've got so cynical of the papers that i don't even feel sorry for that guy...his story is just being used for loads of other people to make their political point.

Madness any one who is willing to die for there faith should be locked up in a asylum because they are not quite there. It's is human nature to survive and anyone who commits martydom for any imaginary God are no better than someone who takes a overdose or runs under a bus. It selfish they have no regaurds for there friends or familly who they leave behind. Same can be said for anyone one who runs away and joins The Jesus Freak Army. Those who say they would die for there faith are one step away from the sucicide bombers in my humble opinion. Look what happened to the moonies. Regiligion should not be tolerated and it is to be tolerated it should only be state religion and allowed in a controlled supervised way. Sometimes I wish there God would take them all away and allow the rest of the world to live in peace. HATE RELIGION AND HATE THOSE WHO SELF APPOINTED PEOPLE THAT SPREAD IT's VIRUS. Mr Rousser I believe you are another fraud foisted on the poor and unsuspecting souls. Grow up and face reality what are you afraid off ?

  7. Haven't you noticed this world is mad? I'd rather live following Jesus, the sanest, truest man who ever lived than follow the corrupt, arrogant, hateful society we live in today.

"A man who won't die for something is not fit to live" Martin Luther King

I once thought the same way you do but I "grew up and faced up to reality" and found that actually all I was doing was running away from God because I didn't want to believe that I needed God. Jesus loves you despite your opinions and your claims to hate "religion" and the people that believed it. Stop being scared and open yourself to God.

Absolute rubbish those Christians that profess to being persecuted are the exact same Christians who are now doing the persecuting to the rest of secular society. Notice I said secular society it as it problems yes but it is certainly not the evil mad world Mr Rouser claims and as his followers believe. Only in the news today I read one poor school teacher being bombarded with hate with hate mail for teaching sex education as she is obliged to do under the national ciriculum. I to have been the subject of this type of Christian hate done in the name of the most perverse love I have ever encountered. Of course those vunerable in society are an easy catch for the JA and other Christian groups but once in side unless they are at the top live just as miserable if not more miserable lives in some cases if they had not joined. The true happiness and love they claim is just a illusion of the manic sort. For the JA to allow one person who is vunerable to die in there care is a mistake to allow three or more is dam right neglect if I loved someone or something as much as they clain I'd take a little bit more care than that. I still say Mr Rouser is a bully and deluded by his own arogance. Sorry to inform him but most people outside the JA live just as moral uncorupt lives with out the Jesus delusion.
You definately know your in cult when its "us again the evil world mentality". True Christians I belive would take there Jesus in all areas of there lives travels works clubs colleges famillies and friends. You can't do that in a detached group. My community is every man child adult animal I meet as I walk out the door regardless.
The JA cronies might like to try and join it one day rather than tout for business in there little exclusive club. Talking to alot of people on who the JA profess to be there for there is little respect so thats make them in effective. Come eat and drink with us but there's no such thing as a free lunch. We'll just screw your mind and suck the living soul and life blood out of you till you are ours ! :-)

  10. You have a jaded opinion full of vitriol. It sours any positive contribution you are attempting to make to this conversation.

There's also great ignorance in what you say. Aside from the fact that you see fit to slur my character without knowing me, you speak without knowledge of my church, for whom most of our growth comes through friends and family, not through preying on the needy.

I'm sorry that you have experienced such hatred within Christianity, you won't find it here. In fact I will be the first to silence anyone who speaks to you 'out of turn'. As it is you are not doing yourself any favours. I've chosen not to delete this post, but should they continue with the same venom then I'm quite prepared to do so.

I am quiet aware there two sides to all situtions I am only responding to what I am told and heard. Sorry if I have come over very acid like but being angry and fustrated about situtions that affect me and others in no way constitutes any malace or persecution which was said earliar in someones post, either towards you or your group. It really makes me angry when privilaged people play the persecution card because ever since Christianty became the state religion from Rome and spread to all the Empire (todays west). History shows it the ones that didn't fit into line or couldn't bow and cow down to a book that were the persecuted and tortured and will be again if we let todays Christianity hijack our secular institutions as we can see creeping in from America. Christianity in my view as always been love when under attack and weak and needing members and forces but hateful and persecuting when strong. This is why I do trust the Church or the Churches. Sames goes for Muslims so not singling out Christianty.
I think I'll retract the bullie statment but reading some of your posts here and there and from your website which I dip into ocassionally you do come over a bit aggrogant and I do belive you should have taken more action and care over vunerable people that I see frequent it ocassinaly even if it did mean deleting hurtful posts. That's my only critism of you at present. What does it say about the JA when all you see on there public forum is abuse and fighting. Sorry if some of thats rubbed off on me. I'll be abit more careful in future what I read.
Continue your fight by all means just make sure you know what you are fighting for.

  12. Paul, I haven't been allowed to take action on the forum, that's part of the problem. One could wish I were more of a bully so that I could protect those who need protecting. You can always email me with your thoughts.

As for arrogance, that's just the way I sound, I'm not really arrogant - but it's my problem, you don't need to make it yours.

I'm pleased to see that he is now in Italy - http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,2725-2109903,00.html

I do still find it disturbing that someone can be legally killed for following a faith.
